Preprint explores hypothetical second time dimension linking energy conservation to Lorentz invariance
The preprint offers a mathematical extension of special relativity that incorporates a second time dimension but provides no empirical evidence or concrete experimental pathway. Its theological and philosophical interpretations lie outside the domain of testable physics. Coverage of such work should therefore be limited to noting the absence of supporting data rather than implying any revision to established theory.
The work is a purely theoretical model with no new data or experimental tests. It shows that the standard Lorentz matrix emerges only when the second-time scale parameter approaches zero, and it compares the parameter to existing Standard-Model Extension bounds on Lorentz violation. Because the paper supplies neither a concrete prediction for a measurable deviation nor a proposed laboratory protocol, its claims remain untestable at present. Ordinary physicists would require an order-of-magnitude estimate of the new parameter together with a falsifiable signature in, for example, atomic-clock or collider data before the model could influence research programs.
Particle Data Group: no entry for a second-time parameter will appear in the 2028 review because no experiment has reported a statistically significant deviation from standard Lorentz transformations above 10^-20 GeV^-1.
