FBI Confirms Theft of Director’s Personal Emails by Iran-Linked Hacking Group
FBI confirms an Iran-linked group stole its director's personal emails but states the data is historical, contains no government information, and risks have been mitigated.
The FBI has confirmed that an Iran-linked hacking group stole personal emails belonging to its director. An FBI spokesperson told Recorded Future News that the information is “historical in nature and involves no government information,” adding that the agency has “taken all necessary steps to mitigate potential risks associated with this activity."
