Eight eMudhra TLS certificates issued with 3-8 bit ECC private keys

Eight eMudhra certificates shipped with ECC keys of 3-8 bits entropy. The defect traces to unchecked example code in the issuance path. Immediate revocation and generator audits are required to restore trust.

Next steps include mandatory re-audit of all eMudhra ECC issuance logs since 2023 and publication of the defective generator commit. Failure to complete revocation within seven days will trigger browser distrust lists.

⚡ Prediction

Mozilla CA Program: full revocation of the eight serials and generator audit published within 14 days or distrust motion filed.
