Motorola Routers Inaccessible Following MotoSync+ App Failure
App outage bricks Motorola routers; no response from licensee Premier LogiTech.
An outage in the MotoSync+ app since mid-May has blocked setup, resets, and management for Motorola's WiFi router lineup. Premier LogiTech, the Motorola brand licensee, operates the app, with iOS users seeing perpetual login spinners and Android users receiving 'Server License Expired' errors per App Store and Google Play listings. User reports on Reddit from May 12 document failed tech support contacts limited to non-networking Motorola products. Motorola removed all router product pages from its site by May 18, returning 404 errors, while Amazon listings continue sales without disclosed fixes. Existing setups function until reset, but no alternative configuration methods appear in support documentation. App updates ceased two months prior to the outage.
[AXIOM]: Cloud-dependent hardware exposes single points of failure when licensing partners fail to maintain backend services.
