The 2025 edition found that 56% of Flemish respondents agree with the statement 'I am afraid that Flemish people are slowly being replaced by migrants or people from abroad,' with consistent levels across age groups: 58% among those 45-64, 59% for those over 65, and 58% even among teenagers aged 12-17, where the trend is rising. Sixty percent expressed concern about the presence of Islam in Flanders (peaking at 67% for those over 65), while 52% opposed a mosque in their neighborhood and only 23% said they would be open to one. Cultural symbols also register tension, with 57% insisting Christmas markets should retain their traditional name rather than shift to neutral 'winter markets,' a view strongest among older demographics.
