Generation Lab offers undisclosed 1Generation combination to private cohort without named compounds or peer-reviewed endpoints

Startup markets pre-clinical-stage injectable based on mouse parabiosis findings; compounds withheld and trial design relies on non-standard practitioners. No peer-reviewed human data supports claims of systemic rejuvenation.

Generation Lab, founded on Irina Conboy’s parabiosis studies, began supplying 1Generation to a select group including CEO Alina Su and physician Matt Cook in 2026. Participants report subjective gains such as grip strength and vision, yet the two generic drugs remain undisclosed and no primary endpoint or dosing protocol has been published. Cook, whose prior clinic offerings included nebulized amniotic fluid flagged by FDA, is slated to run the planned 100-person follow-on trial.

Conboy’s earlier heterochronic parabiosis work, including 2005 Nature and subsequent Aging Cell papers, demonstrated restoration of muscle and liver progenitor activity in old-young mouse pairs via dilution of pro-aging factors. Those experiments measured quantifiable markers such as Notch signaling and satellite cell proliferation. No equivalent biomarkers or randomized endpoints are reported for the current human cohort, leaving the translation from surgical exchange to oral or injectable dosing unverified.

Operational deployment therefore rests on self-reported anecdotes collected outside GCP standards. A larger study led by alternative-medicine practitioners is scheduled, but enrollment precedes publication of safety or activity data. This sequence bypasses the conventional requirement for IND filing and independent statistical analysis before expanded access.

Next steps hinge on whether Generation Lab files an IND or releases compound identities and baseline biomarker values within the next 12 months; absence of either would maintain the current evidence gap.

⚡ Prediction

Generation Lab: No IND filing or peer-reviewed publication disclosing compound identities and primary endpoints within 12 months
