National Center for Education Statistics data show out-of-region first-year enrollment at Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi, and Tennessee more than tripled since 2004.

Greek affiliation exceeds 50 percent of undergraduates at Mississippi and Auburn and reaches roughly 40 percent at several peer institutions. Consultants reduce information asymmetry for families unfamiliar with regional norms; clients simultaneously face out-of-state tuition near $21,000 and semester dues above $3,000.
