NASA Tech and Science Experiments Launching to Orbit on SpaceX Falcon 9
NASA is flying multiple tech demos to low Earth orbit via a commercial SpaceX launch to test heat shields, communications, and atmospheric science.
Technology and science demonstrations developed through NASA industry collaborations and agency work are scheduled to reach low Earth orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on the company's Transporter-16 commercial rideshare mission. These experiments will test thermal protection systems, advance in-space communications, improve understanding of Earth's atmosphere, and build new capabilities, according to the agency.
